Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how SalemGreens (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you use the SalemGreens consumer Android app, this website, or contact us about our delivery service.

Information we collect

Account and contact information

Your name, phone number, account identifier and authentication information. If you use email sign-in, this also includes your email address and authentication credentials processed by our authentication provider.

Delivery address and location

Recipient name and phone number, address, locality, postal code, landmark if supplied, and your delivery map pin. When you choose to use your device’s current location, we collect coordinates, accuracy and capture time with your permission.

Shopping, order and payment information

Your cart, ordered products, quantities, prices, delivery details, order history, cancellations, payment references, payment status, refunds and delivery-verification records. Delivery addresses are also saved with individual orders.

Device, usage and diagnostic information

App and device identifiers, notification tokens, app interactions, crash reports, diagnostic logs and device/app version information. Our Firebase services may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, and Analytics may process an advertising identifier where available. Crash reports are associated with your account identifier to help investigate problems.

Support correspondence

Information you send when asking for help, reporting a problem or requesting account deletion. Please do not send passwords, OTPs, full card details or UPI PINs.

How we use information

• Authenticate your account and protect it against misuse.
• Check delivery availability, calculate and process orders, and deliver to the correct location.
• Process payments, refunds, cancellations and delivery verification.
• Send authentication messages and relevant order or service notifications.
• Answer support requests, investigate disputes and maintain necessary business records.
• Diagnose crashes, understand app usage and improve reliability.

We do not sell your personal information. Providing an address or location for delivery does not make it public.

Location and permissions

The consumer app requests location access to help identify your current location and set a delivery pin. It does not request background-location permission. Your saved delivery pin and address are used for serviceability and fulfillment.

You can change location and notification permissions in Android settings. If location permission is declined, the current-location feature is unavailable; delivery still requires a valid address and map pin. Disabling notifications may prevent push alerts, but you can check orders in the app.

Who processes information

Authorized SalemGreens staff and delivery personnel can access information needed to handle and deliver your order. We also use service providers:

• Supabase: authentication, database storage and backend services. Data processing terms.
• SmsHorizon: phone number and authentication-message processing to deliver OTPs.
• Razorpay: online payment processing, payment verification and refunds. Payment credentials entered in its checkout are handled by the payment provider; SalemGreens retains transaction information needed to manage your order. Razorpay Privacy Policy.
• Google Firebase: push notifications, crash reporting and app analytics. Firebase privacy information.
• Google Maps: maps and location-based functionality. Google Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare Pages and email providers: Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical request information to serve pages and prevent abuse. Our email provider processes support correspondence. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Providers may process information in India or other countries where they operate. We may also disclose necessary information to meet a legal obligation or respond to a lawful request. Provider processing is subject to the applicable service terms and legal requirements.

Retention and account deletion

We keep account information while it is needed to provide your account and services. The deletion and record-retention details are explained below.

Deletion covers your account, profile, saved addresses and location data, cart and associated notification registrations, except information that must be retained for the reasons below. It does not mean that every historical order or transaction record is erased.

Order history and necessary transaction records are retained for business records, accounting and tax obligations, refunds, fraud prevention and dispute resolution. Retention is limited to the period required by the applicable obligation or unresolved matter. We explain relevant exceptions when responding to your request. Personal details within retained records are limited to what is necessary for those purposes.

Active deliveries, payments or refunds may require limited information until the matter is resolved; requesting deletion does not cancel an order or waive a refund. Information in backups and service-provider systems follows their applicable retention and deletion cycles. For example, Firebase states that Crashlytics retains crash data and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can update your delivery address in the app and contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent, or raise a privacy grievance. We may ask for proportionate verification before acting on an account request. We will never ask you to email a password, OTP or UPI PIN.

Withdrawing permission or asking us to stop processing information needed for delivery or authentication may mean we cannot provide the affected service. Contact salemgreens@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request” or “Privacy grievance”. This does not limit rights or remedies available under applicable Indian law.

Security and website privacy

Our services use HTTPS, authenticated access and role-based access controls to help protect customer information. Access to operational information is limited according to staff responsibilities. No method of transmission or storage is completely risk-free.

This website does not include our own advertising trackers, analytics scripts or account forms. Your browser contacts our hosting provider to load pages; the provider may process technical request information, such as IP address and browser details, for delivery and security. Clicking an email link opens your email application; it does not submit information until you send the message. External links, including Google Play, are governed by the destination service’s privacy practices.

Children and policy updates

SalemGreens is intended for adult purchasers. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and handle it appropriately.

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The updated date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service notice where required.
